Still Shopping?

Some parents may not have purchased their curriculum before enrolling their children in CCS.  If that is the case, simply include a note stating that the Curriculum List will be sent later.  Once the curriculum decision has been made, send us the list.

Enrolling in Crossroads Christian School is easy and should only take a few moments to complete.  If one has questions after reading this page and/or the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page, don't hesitate to contact us via email or telephone.

New Students:

Each new student will need to print the following documents from our website.  To locate the documents click on the link to the left titled, "Forms".

bulletStudent Enrollment Form

bulletStatement of Faith/Policy Form (signature is required - document should not be altered)

bulletCurriculum List

bulletTranscript Request Form, if needed for those who attended a school previously

bulletCredit Acceptance Form, if needed for grades 10-12 only (not necessary for those entering ninth grade since there are no previous high school credits to accept.  In some instances, students will earn a high school credit in a grade below ninth.  Such courses would be Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Physical Science, Earth Science, etc.  If this applies to the child's situation,  a Credit Acceptance Form will be needed.).

bulletRequired Fees

The above forms need to be filled-out completely and signed where necessary.  With the forms we will need the following (Note: Some of these items may be included in records transferred to us from a previous school and may not need to be sent immediately, if request is being made):

bulletCopy of Student's Birth Certificate (need not be certified copy)

bulletUp-to-Date Immunization Records or Religious Waiver (see FAQ for details) *FL residents see below.

bulletSchool-entry Physical (this is a one-time only requirement)

After completing the necessary forms and gathering the necessary health records, the documents should be placed in a secured envelope along with the necessary fees.  Do not send application packet without the fees unless payment was made with credit card through PayPal.

For Returning Students:

We will need the following items:

bulletUpdated Student Enrollment Form

bulletStatement of Faith/Policy Form (signature is required - document should not be altered)

bulletCurriculum List

bulletBirth Certificate and  Updated Immunization Records*, if not already on file

bulletRequired Fees

If the student has not been enrolled in Crossroads for a year or more, they are considered a new student.

After Enrollment Is Submitted:

We will process all enrollment packets in the order in which they were received (unless a special situation warrants immediate action).  Certain times of the year will cause a delay. Those times are most frequently  mid-June through September 1 and January through end of February.  On average it takes two weeks.  However, it may take as little as ten days or as long as four weeks.

After enrollment is completed, student and teacher identification cards will be mailed.  These cards identify your child as a student of Crossroads Christian School.  They also identify the parent as a teacher of our school.  When using these cards, students and teachers are representatives of Crossroads Christian School.  We hope they do so responsibly.

For Florida residents, once we have the packet in our office, your legal coverage begins.  If we receive a call verifying a child's enrollment, we will do so by searching unprocessed enrollment packages if necessary.  Keep our phone number handy until your identification cards arrive.  Even without the cards, your child is legally covered.

If a Florida family has previously been enrolled as homeschooler in their county, they will need to submit a letter to the county terminating their homeschool program.  The letter should include the child(ren)'s legal name and date-of-birth.  It is wise to send the letter Certified with return receipt.  This does not apply to those who remain with the county for specific reasons.

Once all of this is finished, the parent simply homeschools as they would normally.  When ninety days of school is complete, a semester report is then submitted to Crossroads.  It is that easy.

*FL residents only: Are your student's immunization records up-to-date? Does CCS have a "blue card" (FL DH-680) on file for your student? All FL students are required to submit an up-to-date form DH-680 (or waiver form DH-681) for their student(s), this is a requirement set forth by the State of FL in regards to all public and private school students. This form can be obtained at your local county health department (you may also inquire at your pediatrician/physicians office). In order to assure that your immunization record is complete and a current copy is in our files, CCS will be mailing you a form (CCS IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS CONFIRMATION FORM) (IRC form) along with your 2008 CCS Welcome Letter and ID Cards.  Please note that ALL CCS Florida families should receive this form upon 2008 registration. If you receive your Welcome Packet and it does not contain the IRC form, please contact us immediately.  If  the IRC form indicates that information is needed, you will be granted 30-days to obtain the information and send it to our offices.  NOTE:  Handwritten Immunization Waiver requests are no longer valid.  The State of FL requires form DH-681 which must be obtained from your local county health department in order to be in compliance due to religious convictions. ##Additional Reminder - Students entering 7th grade need their "booster shots"/updated immunizations in order to complete CCS enrollment for the 2008/2009 school year

      Did You Know?
It is rather difficult to remove a check or money order that has been stapled to a form.  The check often tears.  When sending payment with the enrollment package, secure the check with a paperclip or in a separate envelope.  Do not use a stapler or tape.  It keeps the check in good condition, and it protects our fingers.

      FYI
Did you notice that we have now included a Credit Acceptance Form?  We hope this will make reporting past credits easier and less time-consuming.
